“Now the Lord is the Spirit:
and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is liberty.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
We live in a time of increasing Spiritual Darkness. A time that the Revelation to John describes,
The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
Revelation 12:9
This prophetic picture is part of the larger story of the cosmic battle between the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God and the powers of Heaven. St. Paul describes our side of the conflict in his letter to the Ephesians,
[…] Our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12
Jesus did not leave us powerless in this battle. The stories of the Church’s victory in the battle against darkness are documented in scripture, in the stories of the saints, and in Church History. However, the modern Church has, until recently, forgotten the powerful ministry of Spiritual Freedom. We at Good Samaritan Freedom Ministry believe that our work is part of the promise that we have received from Jesus as ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven:
“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”
Luke 10:19
This is why we are intentional about sharing in the work of Spiritual Freedom. Our desire is to train and equip Christians to be free from Spiritual darkness and and to help others find freedom.
