Music
The prayers and psalms of the people of God can be embodied more deeply through the instrument of music. Music pulls out a deeper part of the heart and calls it upward, outward, to the throne of God. When we gather in worship - our singing lifts heavenward, and joins the heavenly chorus of Angels and Archangels.
First Day, First Priority
We gather to honor our God on the first day of the week. Since our God is the "first" in our lives, we set our week at the rhythm of worship.
Please pray for the clergy and people of the Anglican Diocese of the South as we gather Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for Synod (our annual gathering).
The Word of the Lord
Each week we read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest a huge amount of scripture. The words of the Bible are part of God's revelation to the world of himself. When we read from the 66 Books of the canonical Old and New Testaments, we declare those words to be "the Word of the Lord." As we allow the scriptures influence on our minds, our lifestyles, and our rhythms - we become part of the next chapter of God's people.
